Covid Statement

We at Barn Cottages believe that we have a public health responsibility to ensure that any potential virus is removed to the best of our ability. We have undertaken a formal risk assessment of our properties and taken active steps to mitigate the risks.  Please email us at jane@barncottagesatlacock.co.uk for a copy of the detailed risk assessment.  This risk assessment has been prepared by the Professional Association of Self Caterers in association with VisitBritain and HM Government.
We believe that the most important points to communicate to you are:

  1. Your cottage is prepared by a professional cleaning company.  Cleaners are masked and gloved.
  2. All components of all  cleaning products used comply to EN1276
  3. All common touch points eg. light switches, bannisters, door handles, kettle handle etc. are disinfected between changeovers
  4. All crockery, cutlery and glassware has been put through the dishwasher between changeovers
  5. All bedlinen, towels, bathmats and tea towels are professionally laundered and all pillow and mattress protectors are changed between changeovers.
  6. We will need you to provide, names, telephone numbers and email addresses of everyone in the party, so that we can pass this onto the NHS if it is required for track and tracing. This information will not be used for any other purpose. This must be provided at the point of arrival or before.
  7. We expect our guests to practice social distancing as set out government guidelines.
  8. If you suspect that you may be displaying signs of the Covid-19 virus while staying in our accommodation, please inform us via email: jane@barncottagesatlacock.co.uk or telephone on 07966 553194. You must immediately self-isolate to minimise any risk of transmission, returning home if possible. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority. Guests should follow government guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.  All guests and our cleaning staff will be made aware of the situation with immediate effect. Unfortunately, if the guest cannot return home, the guest will be expected to pay for the accommodation until they are able to reasonably leave.

We are always happy to answer any questions that you may have
